MountainView Buying Broker/Dealer

MountainView Capital Group, Denver, has purchased a broker/dealer unit from Capmark Financial, a move that will expand MVCG's ability to trade fixed income securities, including MBS.

According to executives familiar with the matter, an official announcement on the deal will come early next week.

The privately held MountainView is engaged in a wide variety of mortgage-related businesses, including whole loan trading, servicing analytics, and servicing sales, among others.

Last fall Capmark Financial and some of its subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company was formerly known as GMAC Commercial Mortgage.
